Courts Dismiss Two Antitrust Lawsuits Against NAR

In two separate legal victories, federal courts have dismissed antitrust claims against the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). On July 15, a Utah District Court dismissed a lawsuit brought by Homie Technology, ruling the company failed to show that NAR or several large brokerages conspired to cause antitrust injury. Just days later, a U.S. District Judge in Texas dismissed similar federal and state claims brought by broker Luz De Amor Eytalis, who challenged MLS participation rules. Both rulings affirm the integrity of NAR’s structure and its role in fostering competitive, transparent real estate marketplaces. “We are pleased with these decisions,” said NAR General Counsel Jon Waclawski, emphasizing NAR’s commitment to fair access and professional development for its members.
