Recording has the duty to record, index, maintain, and provide access to all real estate documents, uniform commercial code fixture filings, federal tax liens, military discharges, marriage licenses & civil unions, and other vital records. Historic documents for research and archival purposes date back to the 1800’s. A list of commonly recorded documents can be found on their website.
The Recording Office will be implementing a new software, which was originally planned to be ready by June 28, 2017 along with the corresponding fee changes to online recorded document fees. However, there were schedule changes, which means that the new systems and fees are set to begin July 17, 2017. Since there were schedule changes, please be prepared that there is a possibility on-line access will not be unavailable for a period of time between the go live date of June 28 and Idoc Market implementation on July 17. Documents will be available in the office.
Please note that the index to records will still be available online while the images will need to be purchased. Several subscriptions are available, so that images will be available for a specific period of time and prints are $0.25 per page. Prints are free with our yearly subscription. Payment for access will be in the form of a credit card and done via the web using a username and password. Only one active username per subscription may be used at any one time. If you have any questions, please contact the Clerk and Recorder’s office.
